We understand group walks can be challenging for many dogs living in the city. There can be multiple reasons for this:

 

Puppies under 6 months: group walks can be quite overwhelming for young dogs only just learning the ways of the city and how to interact with dogs and people that they meet. In our solo walks we can focus on careful and structured socialisation and confidence-building. We can also help pups learn to settle in different environments and manage the level and type of exercise that they subject their newly forming joints to! 

 

Behaviourally challenged dogs: many dogs are too fearful, anxious or frustrated by the presence of certain triggers (people/ dogs/ traffic/ other animals) that they might encounter on their walks. We can offer walks with careful management and training where appropriate and safe. 

 

Dogs with mobility or other health issues: for some dogs just keeping up with the pace of a group walk is not realistic for them. Nor do some older dogs want to spend time with a bunch of young and bouncy younger ones! We can offer quieter, slower walks for dogs based on their needs and likes. Making sure they get a pleasant time out while we don't push them past their limits!
